Mr Ajay Nigam is a highly-regarded consultant ENT and head and neck surgeon who specialises in throat cancer, paediatric ENT, sinus surgery and sinusitis, ear infection, snoring, as well as rhinoplasty procedures. He currently practises at the Lancashire Clinic, the Garstang Clinic in Preston, as well as the Blackpool-based Spire Fylde Coast Hospital.
Mr Nigam, whose main research interests include antibacterial action of BIPP and head and neck oncology, successfully completed a FRCSEd in general surgery at the well-established Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1985. He then followed this impressive milestone up with the completion of a FRCSEng in ENT, which he obtained from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1992. He also notably completed a FRCSEd in ENT, again at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the same year.
Impressively, Mr Nigam was awarded a TWJ Fellowship to work at the prestigious Cape Town-based Groote Schuur Hospital, and was deservingly recognised for his outstanding medical contribution by being awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award by Swallows Charity. Not only that, but he famously took part in the Blackpool Medics BBC TV series.
